Ealing also known as ‘Queen of the Suburbs’ is a very popular and sought after place to live in West London. With its excellent travel links, leafy residential streets, beautiful green spaces and a wide selection of parks.
Crossrail, which is due to open in 2020 is going to change the face of Ealing, making it a central hub to travel all over London. Once the new Elizabeth Line is open you will be able to travel to Bond Street in just 11 minutes. A journey to Canary Wharf currently takes 43 minute, but with Crossrail it will be just 25 minutes.
Many new developments are popping up around Ealing including the highly specified Dickens Yard, which adds to the feel of this up and coming area. A cinema complex opposite the Town Hall is also under construction will lead to an increase in local businesses and also more homes.
Ealing is lucky enough to host the highly acclaimed Ealing Jazz festival, which runs every Summer. You will be spoilt for choice other fringe events that also run around this time too.
Ealing Studios is situated on Ealing Green, a television and film production company and facilities provider in west London. Will Barker bought the White Lodge on Ealing Green in 1902 as a base for film making, and films have been made on the site ever since. It is the oldest continuously working studio facility for film production in the world, and the current stages were opened for the use of sound in 1931.
